P.T.A.
Dear Parents, Guardians and the School Community,
As we come to the end of another busy and successful school year, I would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for all they have done for our school.
Throughout the year, the PTA has worked tirelessly to organise events and raise much-needed funds to support and enhance the educational experience of all our children. Thanks to their dedication and generosity, we have been able to purchase new resources for classrooms, improve our outdoor play spaces, and help fund trips. They also organised Easter eggs for the children, a visit from the Exploration Dome, library books, new PE equipment and much much more!
Their hard work makes a real and lasting difference, and we are so fortunate to have such a committed and enthusiastic group supporting our school. Unfortunately, a number of our long serving PTA members are stepping down this year. On behalf of all the staff and pupils in Skerries ETNS, I would like to say a sincere thank you to each and every member for their time, effort and positivity.
As we look ahead to September, we are encouraging more parents and guardians to get involved. The PTA is a fantastic way to meet others, contribute to the life of the school, and help make a positive impact on our children’s experience. Whether you can offer a little time or a lot, every contribution is valued, and we would be delighted to welcome new members. The AGM will be taking place in September and we encourage parents to come and get involved!
If you are interested in finding out more or would like to get involved, please contact Eleni on [email protected].
Wishing you all a happy, safe and restful summer.
With best wishes and gratitude,
Alison

PTA work and how you can help
There are tons of ways you can help, and they don't all involve having to be available at school hours or every week at the same time! Some are once off for a few hours one week a year, others involve a bit more, or a bit less!
Want to help out?
- become part of our team of helpers, you can help during school hours (for instance, staff bake sales, book sales, discos etc) if/when you are available, outside school hours (help organise the festive cards, or the table quiz, or Togetherfest)
- join the team of parents who help maintain our library the little gem that it is! Volunteer once a month on a Friday 8.30-9.30am
- you can lead an afterschool club, sharing a skill or talent with a group of 10-12 pupils (art, lego, music, science, drama, ball sports!). Once a week 1.15-2.15 or 2.15-3.15 for one or two terms. Garda vetting necessary
