Notice of School Closure Days during 2025-26 school year -Tuesday 24th February and Monday 18th May 2026 (Primary Curriculum Framework training) School will be closed for these two days during the school year for staff training in Child Protection Procedures and the new Primary Curriculum Framework
On Thursday September 25th both 6th classes visited the National Gallery of Ireland. We got the train in to the city and saw some of the city sights as we made our way to the gallery. The classes were split in to smaller groups and each group got a guided tour of the gallery where the guides explained and discussed some of the most famous pieces of art on display. The children showed great interest and manners and engaged really well with the guides and artwork. We were also able to find some paintings that featured some of the art techniques we've been working on in class. The children got to see some artwork from both Irish and international artists such as Yeats, Van Gogh, Caravaggio and Monet. We were very fortunate with the weather and after our lunch we got to visit Merrion Square before our train back to Skerries.
