Today we held our annual sports day in school. It was a day full of games and activities and we were fortunate with another sunny day.
In the morning the children tried a variety of sports such as Gaelic football, tennis, dodgeball, tug of war and a multi sport obstacle course as well as some time to play outside. Thanks to tennis coach Maria and GAA coach Lauren for helping on the day.
After our break we went around to the front of the school for some races. The children showed their speed and agility in races such as sprinting, 3 legged races, bear crawls, sack races, hopping and a backwards sprint. 4th class put in a great effort and some friendly competition led to very close and competitive races.
After lunch it was time for the annual 6th class versus teachers rounders match cheered on by all the other classes in the school. Congratulations to 6th class on their impressive win.
It was another tiring and fun day in the sun for 4th class as we count down to the final few days of the school year.
