First class were having so much fun that we decided to turn World Book Day into World Book Week! Our theme for the week was Paddington Bear. We designed our own comics and came up with scenarios where Paddington got himself all in a muddle, as he usually does. We all put our Paddington hats on while we used our comics to write letters to "Aunt Lucy".
We created a new platform called "Bookflix". The children wrote reviews of their favourite books and gave them a star rating. It's safe to say that Matilda and Captain Underpants are trending right now. The children also used their stories as inspiration for their diorama projects. They are hard at work creating their tiny scenes in shoe boxes.
On dress up day we were treated to an "Honesty Bookfair" by the PTA. It was a brilliant way to give new life to our old books. We also had a "Book Hunt", which took us all around the school.
