Sinéad’s Class: Exploring Skerries

First class have had a ball the last two weeks. Our first stop was Ardgillan Castle. The children visited the new summer exhibition in the gallery, they enjoyed ice-pops, bunny spotting and of course the playground. 

Our next stop was Skerries harbour where we enjoyed Red Island playground, football, painting and drawing on the grass. We finished off at the harbour beach. It was lovely to see the children collecting treasure, digging holes, building sandcastles and working together fetching water in their little buckets.

I’m not sure how we managed it but we had glorious sunshine for both outings. There really is nowhere better than Skerries in the sun!
