Sinéad's 4th Class: Winter Exhibition

16th Dec 2025

Today, our school was buzzing with excitement as we hosted our Winter Art Exhibition. Families and friends were warmly welcomed into the Room 14 Gallery, where our resident artists proudly guided their guests through a wonderful showcase of creativity and imagination.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the morning so special. The children were proud as punch to share their work and loved talking about their artistic process. A very special thank you to Irene and Therese for the incredible preparation behind the scenes, this exhibition simply wouldn’t have been possible without their hard work and dedication.

Guests were also treated to the debut screening of our ISL video. With National ISL Day celebrated last Sunday, it was the perfect opportunity to showcase this achievement. The children have taken to Irish Sign Language brilliantly and it was a joy to celebrate their learning with everyone. Credit for the beautiful signing interpretation goes to the Deaftones choir who performed on Ireland's Got Talent.

Learning Irish Sign Language is not just about learning a new language. It’s about fostering inclusion and creating meaningful connections. As Ireland’s third official language, ISL is essential for ensuring that the deaf and hard-of-hearing community can fully participate in all aspects of society. By embracing ISL, we not only strengthen communication, but also promote a more inclusive and accessible world for everyone. It’s a powerful step toward bridging gaps and celebrating diversity and we’re so proud to see our students embracing this important language with such enthusiasm.
