Hugh Lane Gallery

Written by Matteo

We started the day off by walking to Skerries train station. Then we got on a train to Connolly station. From there, we walked for about an hour coming across lots of restaurants, hotels and tall buildings. We also came across the spire and the portal which was connected to Poland. Eventually, we arrived at a small park near the gallery called The Garden Of Remembrance, which had a very cool statue and an elevator. Fun fact the Garden of Remembrance was used to remember The Children of Lir.

We ate lunch for about half an hour. After that, we entered the gallery which was filled with decorations and interesting paintings. After about an hour or two we went back to the park where we ate lunch for the second time. After that we walked back to the station we ran into the portal again, so we had to say hi. But as we where leaving , I hit my leg of the portal it was only a scrape though- anyways. We sat on the train for a quite a bit. After we arrived the teachers counted us again and after that we walked back to the school.

We said bye to each other and we went home.
