Go raibh míle maith agaibh!

The Student Council would like to thank all of the children, parents and staff of the school for contributing very generously towards our recent collection for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. We raised 179 euros exactly, all of which will be going towards the training of guide dogs for people with visual impairments. The children donated their pocket money that they had earned from carrying out a household task at home. We are also grateful to our guest speaker, Eva West, who spoke to the children at our assemblies about her guide dog, Parker. Eva answered many of the questions the children asked about her guide dog. Eva told us not to be afraid of guide dogs and to always seek permission from the person with a guide dog if you would like to pet the dog.
