Culture Week
Our class chose the UK as our country for Culture Week this year. We researched a range of different aspects such as UK sport, landmarks, history and geography, and invited other classes to come and see our projects. We also got to try a wide range of traditional foods served in different parts of the UK. Some members of our class even made their own! We were lucky enough to also have one of our parents who is from England, in to speak to us about growing up in the UK!
PTA Bakesale
We had a lot of fun looking at all the delicious treats, it was very tricky to pick just a few!
Claddagh Ring Art
For Valentine's Day we made some art based on the Claddagh Ring. We learned a lot about its symbolism and history also.
Basketry Workshop
We learned how to weave baskets and birdcages. They turned out beautifully!
