Driving/Parking in the school grounds

Dear Parents,

We are concerned at the level of unauthorised driving and parking inside the school ground.  For the safety of the children of the school please can we ask you not to drive into the school unless you have a permit.  We would appreciate if you could pass this information to anyone who collects your child from school eg. grandparents, minders, after school carers etc.

Permits are issued generally to parents who have a mobility issue or whose child has such an issue. To apply for a parking permit, applicants need to email [email protected] stating the reason for the request.  The Board of Management may issue a permit once they have considered the written/emailed request.

The designated drop-off areas at the front of the school and outside Seolta are for those with disabled access needs.   There is also an area outside Seolta for School Transport only.

Parents collecting their sick child before the end of the school day are also allowed park in these drop-off zones.

Please do not park in the disabled car parking spaces at any time if you do not have a permit.  Please do not park in the School Transport zones at any time.

The staff car park is for staff use only unless you have been given a parking permit from the school.

Our traffic management plan was written with the health and safety of your children as the ultimate consideration.   This plan is available on our website.

Parking outside the school grounds

There are parking areas close to the school: There is free parking in the Skerries Point shopping centre  or on the road outside the school on the school side of the road.

We respectfully request the involvement of parents in partnership with us on this matter and thank you sincerely for your cooperation as we endeavour to keep the school grounds a safe place for your children.

on behalf of the Board of Management
