5th Class Celebrates Literacy Week
We had a fantastic week in 5th class celebrating Literacy Week! Every day, we enjoyed our DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time, and as always, we loved getting lost in our books. There’s nothing like a good story to make the week fly by!
This year, we’ve also joined Google Classroom and have been working on our stories for the school competition. We can’t wait to find out who the winner is – the suspense is almost as thrilling as the ending of a mystery novel!
But that’s not all… we also went on a school trip to Glasnevin Cemetery. It was amazing to see the final resting places of some of Ireland’s great historical figures, including Daniel O’Connell, Michael Collins, and Éamon de Valera. We learned so much about their lives and the incredible things they achieved. History really comes alive when you see it up close!
