May midterm update
10th Jun 2025
The start of term 3 was a busy one both in and out of the classroom. These few weeks were spent working hard to complete our coursework as we draw closer to the Summer holidays. We covered some of the more difficult topics in maths and worked on some creative writing in English. We also finished our fourth novel based on an Irish theme, Under the hawthorn tree.
We completed our standardised tests in English, Irish and maths and the children are to be commended for their efforts.

In art we spent a bit of time on perspective art and worked on creating a sense of depth in our drawing.
We continued our GAA coaching with Lauren, focusing on improving our hurling/camogie skills. We also finished our our swimming lessons in ALSAA.
Other events this half term were our 'honesty book fair', singing assemblies with Alison, 6th class bake sale, soccer and rugby coaching.
