Skerries Educate Together NS Marathon 2018 – Day 26 update
Hi everyone,
Today we were missing our 1st class children as it was their school tour but we soldiered on in the heat of Pakistan nonetheless. We managed to complete a hard fought 353 km bringing us to a total of 9,533 km and leaving us in the city of Dera Ghazi Khan (abbreviated to D. G. Khan and with a population of over 2.7 million people). The temperature has dropped from yesterday’s high to a more tolerable 46 degrees Celsius. We have certainly earned a rest for the night and possibly even a Solhan Halwa, a locally produced sweet that is made by boiling water, sugar, milk and flour until it becomes solid (rather like a fruit pastille perhaps).

All the best,
