Seachtain na Gaeilge
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Seachtain na Gaeilge has arrived !!
We have lots of fun activites planned next week for everybody in our school.
Across the week, some classes will be inviting parents in to play games with the children. This however will not be possible in each class due to a variety of reasons. Teachers will contact you directly should they need volunteers.
Every child will be receiving their very own customised Skerries Educate Together sticker to show that we are taking part in Seachtain na Gaeilge as a school.
On Thursday, each class will perform an Irish poem or Song for our Ceolchoirm. We will also be joined by musicians to play some traditional Irish music. We invite all children to dress in green for this day for the occasion. Unfortunately due to the whole school taking part in our Ceolchoirm, we will not have enough space for parents/guardians.
Between now and after the Easter holidays, each class will be working on an exciting Gaeilge drama competition which will be judged by a director from RTE.
If you are in the school over the next few weeks, keep an eye for our fantastic collaborate display which will involve each child creating their own Celtic Print to hang on the walls.
We encourage everyone to try and use their cúpla focail over the course of the week in any way and most importantly, to have fun!
Go raibh míle maith agaibh,
Eleanor, Sylvia agus Laoíse.
