Big Beach Clean-up this Sunday, April 6th. Meeting on South Beach to collect bags and glove

We need your help.

April is National Spring Clean month – the perfect time to clean up our town! There will be a big Beach Clean up held on Sunday April 6 from 2 – 4 pm. It is being organised by Skerries News Adopt-a-Beach. The goal is to get as many people out as possible to make our beach look as beautiful as it should be.

At the moment there are 42 families, five schools and four clubs in Skerries News Adopt-a-Beach. We would love to see as many of you out as possible. We will be meeting at the life guard hut at the South Beach at 2pm. Everyone will be given a bag and the challenge is to fill it. After getting the bag everyone will head towards their own beach, picking up litter on the way. If there is not enough litter on the beaches we will get some of the town done too.

The Skerries Educate Together National School beach is Beach#29. It is half way along the north beach just to the left of the steps. There is a map of all the beaches on the Beach Notice Board on the south beach.

All children MUST be accompanied by an adult and please bring gloves if you have them.
